It is funny how quickly the direction of a blog post can change. When I first put this polish on and was taking pictures, I was complaining:
“What the hell? Where did the holo go? Stupid hidden holo… did I do something wrong? Oh crap, I didn’t use my DS Top Coat, I just used regular OPI Top Coat… It’s okay, the polish is pretty, but I just can’t photograph this holo.”
Last week was pretty brutal for me (which included a pretty brutal break on one of my nails, so they are all nubbins now), so I was really looking forward to the end of the day on Friday, the long weekend, and a date I had with my boyfriend.
Regardless, of my photography skills (or lack there of) Opening Night Gold in the sun is really holo. This is three coats, with 1 coat of OPI Top Coat, and 1 coat Seche Vite.
Gorgeous right? This post was supposed to be all negative, but I quickly changed my tune Friday night, because by boyfriend PROPOSED!! WE ARE ENGAGED!!
Opening Night Gold is now one of my most favourite and precious polishes I own (along with OPI – Mad As A Hatter which my amazing friends hunted down for me, and OPI – Standing Room Only Silver which I wore to Lauren’s wedding). I am so excited!
