Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope the week is going well. It’s been a busy one for me work wise and I’m sorry that I haven’t been posting as regularly.
Today I have a review of butter London Dodgy Barnett which was released as a part of the Fall 2012 Collection. Dodgy Barnett, which is slang for “Bad Haircut”, is a silver holographic nail polish. It is similar to butter London Trustafarian which I already reviewed and you can check out here.
3 coats of butter London – Dodgy Barnett:
(indoors with flash)
As you can see in the first picture even after 3 coats in the light there is a visible nail line. At this point I think I have 5 silver holos in my collection and while I love that more mainstream companies are releasing holographic polish I don’t think I would reach for this one. However if you don’t own a silver holo I think that this one would fit the bill very nicely as it is very easily accessible in North America. I just wish the holographic effect was stronger.
You can find this and the other polishes from the butter London Fall 2012 collection on Nail Polish Canada here.

LOL what a funny name for a polish, I don’t think the name really says anything about the colour, but it’s a lovely shade.
To be honest I kind of like when a polish does that. It lets the user decide what colour it is.
Unlike what OPI does sometimes. When I first saw the bottle shot for OPI Go On Green I was all like “What???”…check it out if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
What an amazing nail polish! It looks so pretty and sparkly!
I like silver holos a lot but I still think that black holos are the best. To me the original holo OPI MPJ is my holy grail of polishes. Too bad I don’t own it…
I have that polish! It’s one of my all-time favourites because it looks great with everything!
I’m soooo jealous!!!! Have you featured it on your blog? If not then you must!
I will, it might be tricky to take good photos of it so it might take me a while. With this weather it’s really hard to find good natural lighting, of course with colour like this I also need fake lighting but I promise I will show it
